Join us for a brief history of the Order of Malta to learn the many ways in which this over 900-year-old Order continues to serve the poor and the sick today!
About our speaker:
After earning her Bachelor’s degree from Fairfield University in Connecticut, Niki fulfilled her life-long dream by becoming a Medical Doctor at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. She completed her Residency training in Adult Psychiatry at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and went on to a Fellowship in Medical Psychiatry. After the birth of her daughter, Niki chose to step away from clinical practice to focus on family life while continuing her commitment to service. She, along with her husband, was invested into the Order of Malta in 2013. In 2019, she joined the Board of Trustees for the Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem Foundation, and in 2024, she was named Area Chair for the Cleveland Area of the American Association of the Order of Malta. Niki was incredibly blessed to have met her husband, Thom, while they were students together at Fairfield University. They have been married for 29 years, and have two amazing children- Abigail, who derailed her mother’s brilliant medical career and is a Law Student at Washington University in St Louis, and Tommy, who joins her there as an undergraduate Sophomore.
