Each year, our February luncheon is dedicated to hearing the “State of the Diocese of Cleveland” from our Bishop, the Most Reverend Edward Malesic. This continues to be an event that brings together Catholics of all ages from throughout our diocese for fellowship and to hear from Bishop Malesic. The 69th Annual Bishop’s Luncheon will take place on Thursday, February 4, 2027. We are pleased to announce that we have secured a new location for the 2027 luncheon. It will be at the Embassy Suites in Independence. This new venue will allow us to seat more people, more comfortably, and will eliminate any need for an “overflow room”!

This event is planned for months in advance and usually has well over 500 attendees. Board members solicit sponsorships to help keep the individual prices at the same level as the other monthly luncheons and also to assist in the operations of the First Friday Club of Cleveland throughout the year. The sponsorship drive begins near the end of October, and individual ticket sales will open in the middle of November. The 68th Annual Bishop’s Luncheon took place on Thursday, February 5, 2026. As part of this event, the 2026 Heart of a Servant Award was presented to the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine.
